Customer complaint

Through all of my research dealing with Nicole/Ashley Methvin/Anderson aka Ms. Puppy Connection I learned a lot.

I changed my course of action somewhat. I know I can’t shut down every unethical breeder/broker anymore than I can keep people from buying from these scam artists, but every change has to start somewhere with that first step. The more I’ve read online about the condition of puppies and the condition they live in along with dogs used in the breedings, the sadder it made me.

We the buyers, insisting on just such a dog with a certain look and size, are actually promoting the growth of puppy mills where the dogs live in deplorable conditions. Some of the breeder dogs spend their entire life in cages, often too small for them to stand up in living in their own filth. They get little if any medical attention. They are bred too often and die at a young age. Most of us would never buy the puppy if we saw how the parents look and are treated.

Local shelters are in need of homes for dogs that owners can no longer take care of or who were removed from a house because of mistreatment or displaced because of weather catastrophes. Given the chance and love, these dogs make great companions. If you insist on owning a purebred dog, then look for puppy mill rescues. A $5000 dog won’t give you anymore love than a rescued dog or one from the shelter. I’d take bets that the rescued/shelter dog might just give you a lot more love for saving them from a life of hell.

If size is an issue get an adult dog. Kids will love a dog or puppy no matter what the size. If you can spend a lot of money on a puppy mill dog, you can make a nice donation to your local animal shelter. If you don’t have the money to spare, donate your time helping at a shelter or foster a rescued dog till it can be found a forever home.

I just didn’t realize how much I have to learn personally about puppy mills until a little puppy named Gracie came into my life for only 19 days, but she left a big imprint on my heart that will stay there forever. It’s taken me 4 years to learn, but Gracie was a good teacher. Where Gracie left off teaching me, Zoyie took up the cause. This complaint is dedicated most of all to Gracie and Zoyie, and all the other puppies that come from puppy mills.
